Project Description


Based on the presence of the river, the Sorel Islands and Lake Saint-Pierre, the Biophare presents the permanent exhibition: “The observatory of Lake Saint-Pierre.”
A sensory and cultural experience, this exhibition offers a journey through the past, present and future of the Lake Saint-Pierre Biosphere World Reserve region.
You can also discover the plants and animals in this unique and spectacular area. An unforgettable journey to the heart of the Lake Saint-Pierre Biosphere Reserve, the Biophare also presents temporary exhibitions and offers several group packages.


  • Admission Fees
    Between $6 and $40 per person, minimum of 10 people per group

  • Schedule
    July and August, daily from 10am to 5pm; September to June, from Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 5pm and weekends from 1pm to 5pm. Open every day from 9am to 5pm for groups of 20 people or more

  • Length of visit
    1 to 5 hours, depending on the package

  • Services
    Guided tours in French and English (need to know in advance the desired language), shop, terrace, picnic tables, parking, access for people with reduced mobility, walk in the Regard-sur-le-Fleuve park

  • Capacity
    Groups of 10 to 60 people
